Hannah Park

Hannah Park is a second-year Violin Fellow at the New World Symphony. Originally from Vancouver, Canada, she began studying violin at the age of seven with Nicholas Wright. As a young musician, she won multiple prizes at the Vancouver Kiwanis Music Festival and Richmond Music Festival, and represented British Columbia at the Performing Arts Competition.

In the 2024–25 season, Hannah was a member of the second violin section of the Boston Philharmonic Orchestra. She has also held the positions of associate concertmaster and associate second violin in the NEC Philharmonia, and has performed in major venues including Jordan Hall, Boston Symphony Hall and Eastman’s Kodak Hall.

Hannah has earned a bachelor’s degree with honors from the Eastman School of Music, where she studied with Robin Scott; a master’s degree from the San Francisco Conservatory of Music under Ian Swensen; and a graduate diploma from the New England Conservatory of Music as a student of Nicholas Kitchen. During her studies, she received various scholarships including the Howard Hanson Scholarship, Wegmans Family Challenge Fund Scholarship and the Dean’s Scholarship. She has performed in master classes for William Van Der Sloot, David Chan and Itamar Zorman. She also participated in various summer festivals including Bowdoin International Music Festival, Colorado College Summer Music Festival, Mendocino Music Festival and Domaine Forget International Music Festival.

Equally passionate about chamber music and education, Hannah has collaborated in numerous string quartets and piano quartets, and served as a teaching artist with ROC Music, the El Sistema program in Rochester.

Outside of music, Hannah enjoys baking.
