Logan Fischer

Logan Fischer is a second-year Horn Fellow at the New World Symphony. He grew up in Naples, Florida and is grateful to be back home in the Sunshine State. Recently, he joined The Florida Orchestra for half of its 2023-2024 season as Acting Assistant Principal/Utility Horn. As a freelancer, he has had the opportunity to perform with the Houston Symphony, Houston Grand Opera, Naples Philharmonic and Rhode Island Philharmonic.

Logan holds a bachelor of music degree in horn performance from the University of North Carolina School of the Arts. After graduating from UNCSA, he studied at Rice University and the New England Conservatory. He spent his summers studying at the Tanglewood Music Center, Brevard Music Center and Eastern Music Festival. His mentors include Kirsten Bendixen-Mahoney, NWS alum Dr. Maria Serkin, Jamie Sommerville, Elizabeth Freimuth, NWS alum Robert Johnson and Gail Williams.

Beyond the music, Logan enjoys scouring the internet for new recipes to try, reading surrealistic fiction and listening to new artists. He is grateful for the opportunity to join the New World Symphony and is looking forward to the new adventures that it will bring.
