Eloïse Fares

Eloïse Fares is a second-year Harp Fellow at the New World Symphony. She has already distinguished herself on major stages, performing with the Orchestre de la Suisse Romande, Orchestre du Capitole de Toulouse, Geneva Chamber Orchestra and Orchestre National Basque. For the last three years, she has been a member of the Verbier Festival Orchestra and plays with the Verbier Festival Chamber Orchestra during the summer or in different projects throughout the year. She has worked under the baton of world-renowned conductors such as Klaus Mäkelä, Gianandrea Noseda, Jonathan Nott, Daniel Harding, Zubin Mehta and Kazuki Yamada.

Highlights of Eloïse’s orchestral seasons include a tour in South Korea with the Verbier Festival Chamber Orchestra at the Tongyeong International Music Festival and a return to the Geneva Camerata in early 2026, following past performances such as Mahler’s Symphony No. 1 in a choreographed production by Marion Motin.

Beyond the symphonic stage, Eloïse is committed to reimagining the harp’s expressive possibilities. She co-created Lorsque tout dort, a book-CD of French melodies for voice and harp, and her cross-disciplinary performance Musical Paintings of an Exhibition was selected for the 2024 World Harp Competition at the Dutch Harp Festival. As a chamber musician, she co-founded Duo Rosae (flute and harp) and Duo Fermina, whose productions interweave theater, literature and music.

Eloïse holds a master of music specialized in orchestra degree from the Haute Ecole de Musique of Geneva, in Switzerland and a bachelor’s degree from the Paris Conservatory, where she studied with Christine Icart.

As a devoted educator, Eloïse has taught at the Conservatoire Populaire of Geneva, guided by the conviction that curiosity, generosity and enthusiasm are at the heart of transmission.
